Mediacorp Pte. Ltd. seeks a Karachi-based correspondent for CNA Digital to report on business, tech, economic and social issues in Pakistan, with occasional work on CNA's TV and radio platforms.

You will monitor developments, produce timely, original stories across formats, and collaborate with Singapore-based editors and CNA TV International.

The role requires strong English and Urdu, a deep Pakistan network, willingness to travel and work irregular hours, and a keen eye for geopolitical nuance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years as full-time journalist in Pakistan, with Karachi coverage a plus.
• Strong network of contacts in Pakistan.
• Excellent writing, reporting, and newsroom judgment.
• Fluency in English; Urdu fluency essential.
• Willing to travel around Karachi and wider region.
• Based in Karachi.
• Knowledge of geopolitical sensitivities.
• Experience with visuals/AI and social media a plus.

Responsabilités

• Report on business, tech, economy, and social issues in Pakistan for CNA Digital.
• Coordinate with CNA TV International and Singapore-based editors.
• Develop stories in formats: news, features, analysis.
• Travel around Karachi and wider region as needed.
• Build and maintain network of officials, businesspeople, analysts.
• Liaise professionally representing CNA/Mediacorp.
• Contribute to coverage planning and editorial decisions.
• Prepare deliverables under supervision.
