Job summary

JDA WMS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to support pre-contract tendering, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) and Schedules of Quantities (SOQ) for active construction projects.

You will collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing, analyze cost data, and assist in tendering and procurement decisions. Diploma or Bachelor’s in QS or related field with 2–5 years of experience preferred; strong Excel

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. In this role, you will assist in pre-contract tendering, conduct precise quantity take-offs, prepare schedule documentation, and engage with external vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing for active construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Measurement & Documentation: Perform accurate structural, architectural, or M&E quantity take-offs and assist in drafting detailed Bills of Quantities (BQ) and Schedules of Quantities (SOQ).

Subcontractor & Supplier Procurement: Sourcing, requesting, and obtaining commercial quotes from trade sub-contractors and material suppliers.

Cost Analysis & Comparison: Evaluate submitted vendor quotations, conduct line-by-line cost comparisons, and prepare price summary analysis to support tendering and procurement decisions.

Requirements

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant hands‑on experience in construction tendering and commercial estimation.

Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel for cost modeling and data analysis). Familiarity with digital quantity measurement and QS calculation software (e.g., Cubicost / Glodon, PlanSwift, or equivalent).

Core Competencies: Solid understanding of measurement rules, construction materials, and trade rates. Good negotiation, numerical accuracy, and vendor liaison skills.
