Job summary

VikConnect Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Junior Applications Project Manager to deliver IT application projects from initiation through deployment and handover, ensuring Day 1 and Day 2 readiness. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple sites and manage schedule, scope, risks, and delivery outcomes in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years work experience.
• Experience on Government Applications Projects is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ownership of project delivery outcomes, not PMO/reporting-only roles.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment planning, cutover activities, and operational readiness.
• Act as primary interface with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and present project status, risk, and progress reports to management and customers.
• Deliver projects under tight timelines and regulatory constraints.

Job description

Seeking a Junior Applications Project Manager to deliver IT application projects from project initiation through deployment and operational handover (Day 1 / Day 2).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of application projects, including planning, execution, deployment, and post-go-live (Day 2) support


• Deployment and support of PC based hardware, and custom developed software in multiple-sites across Singapore


• Experience in overseeing site preparation, hardware delivery and installation is advantageous


• Accountable for schedule, scope, risks, issues, and delivery outcomes


• Lead cross-functional technical teams and partners in a regulated environment


• Own deployment planning, cutover activities, and operational readiness


• Act as the primary interface with customers and internal stakeholders


• Prepare and present clear project status, risk, and progress reports to management and customers


• Deliver projects under tight timelines and regulatory constraints

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Computer / Telecommunication), Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent


• Minimum 3 years work experience


• Any experience working on Government Applications Projects as Project Manager will be advantageous


• Demonstrated ownership of project delivery outcomes, not PMO or reporting-only roles


• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer and management reporting

Technical Experience (Advantageous)

• J2EE-based application solutions and development


• WebSphere / WebLogic Application Servers


• Oracle and/or MSSQL Database Servers


• .NET based application development, including thick client C# application development

Certifications (Advantageous)

• CITPM, PMP, PRINCE2


• Agile-related certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Master) with practical delivery experience
