Job summary

Seatrium invites applications for a Naval Architect Engineer based in Singapore. You will engage in engineering design, stability analysis, project support and problem-solving for marine and offshore assets, performing naval architecture calculations, preparing test procedures, and coordinating with production and project teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Fresh graduates are welcome. A Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Understanding of ship stability, hydrostatics, ship structures, and marine engineering principles.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Rhino, Maxsurf, OrcaFlex, MOSES, or similar engineering software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of offshore and marine industry standards is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Perform Naval Architecture calculations and analysis.
• Prepare test procedures (inclining experiment, weighing and Sea Trial).
• Handle contract-bidding engineering specifications and enquiry.
• Monitor the progress of drawings, documents and purchase specifications.
• Perform quality assurance check of drawings.
• Liaise with Production Department to resolve site problems.
• Liaise with Project Management Department to ensure on-time delivery of project.
• Interact with customers, vendors and regulatory bodies on engineering design matters.
• Direct and guide the activities of subordinates assigned to him.
• Any other assigned duties and responsibilities.
