Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in IT system implementation projects
• Strong elicitation, analysis, and translation of business needs into functional specifications
• Good understanding of SDLC and documenting requirements, processes, and rules
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Ability to work with business users, architects, developers, testers, and project managers

Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to understand objectives, processes, pain points, and requirements
• Facilitate requirements workshops and translate needs into detailed functional specs
• Document current and future processes, user journeys, flows, use cases and rules
• Identify gaps, dependencies, ambiguities, and ensure traceability
• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and FDS
• Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and project teams to translate requirements into solutions
• Define integration and data requirements, including interfaces and mappings
• Support SIT, UAT, test case reviews, defect triage, and post-production validation
• Act as the functional bridge between business and technology teams
• Maintain accurate requirements and documentation throughout delivery lifecycle

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage business stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, pain points, and functional requirements.
• Facilitate requirements gathering and clarification workshops and translate business needs into detailed functional requirements.
• Analyse and document current and future-state processes, user journeys, process flows, use cases, and business rules.
• Identify requirement gaps, dependencies, assumptions, and ambiguities while maintaining requirements traceability.
• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), and other functional documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and project teams to ensure functional requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions.
• Define integration and data requirements, including interfaces, field mappings, validations, APIs, and system dependencies.
• Support SIT, UAT, test case reviews, defect triage, implementation, cutover, and post-production validation.
• Act as the functional bridge between business and technology teams, managing clarifications, dependencies, issues, and stakeholder sign-offs.
• Ensure requirements and functional documentation remain accurate and up to date throughout the delivery lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, System Analyst, or similar role in IT system implementation projects.
• Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and translating business needs into functional specifications.
• Good understanding of SDLC and experience documenting requirements, process flows, business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria, and interface requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with business users, architects, developers, testers, and project managers.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with large-scale enterprise or government system implementation projects.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of BPMN, UML, or other process modelling techniques.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, system integrations, databases, and data mapping.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, production implementation, and defect management.
