Job summary

Senses International Pte Ltd. is seeking a Junior Fragrance Evaluator to bridge customer briefs with perfumery development, translating concepts into olfactive feedback and shaping consumer-winning scents across personal care, home care, air care, and fine fragrance.

Collaborate with perfumers, sales and laboratory teams to research trends, develop scent profiles, oversee development projects, and contribute to marketing content and campaigns for international initiatives beyond ASEAN.

Qualifications

• Min Diploma in Chemistry/Business Management/Marketing related to fragrance industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in fragrance, cosmetics, FMCG or related industries.
• Deep understanding of fragrance preferences for Asian markets and worldwide trends.
• Excellent management and administrative abilities with fragrance evaluation skills.
• Creative personality to contribute to unique fragrances using expertise.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to support Business Development.
• Self-starter and independent, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Position: Junior Fragrance Evaluator

Join our creative development team as a Junior Fragrance Evaluator.

In this role, you will act as a bridge between customer briefs, market trends, and perfumery development - translating concepts into olfactive feedback and consumer-winning scents. You will evaluate fragrances across multiple categories (including personal care, home care, air care, and fine fragrance) while collaborating closely with perfumers, sales, and laboratory teams.

Key duties and responsibilities

1) Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify consumer trends, market analysis and competitors within the fragrance industry. Stay informed about emerging fragrance trends, sustainable ingredients and technologies.

2) Product Development: Work closely with fragrance creation teams to develop and refine scent profiles that align with market demands, developing category plans. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop cross-category plans ensuring fragrance strategies align with overall business objectives.

3) Fragrance Development Oversight: Win business by managing fragrance development projects, both proactively and reactively. Ensure scent profiles meet technical standards, market expectations and brand requirements. Provide constructive feedback to perfumers to achieve desired outcomes.

4) Campaign Planning: Conceptualize and oversee the execution of marketing campaigns for various fragrance products. Support the business development team by translating olfactive technicalities into compelling " scent stories" for clients.

5) Content Creation:Create compelling marketing materials, including olfactory fragrance descriptions and social media content. Support sales agents with presentation tools to enhance market reach.

6) Recommendation: Provide recommendations adapted to brief parameters. Select from the internal fragrance library or guide new creations to maximize the "win" rate.

7) Technical Performance Evaluation: Interact with perfumers and lead performance testing, including olfactive profiling, substantivity trials and base compatibility test across various applications.

8) Proactive Initiatives: Take the leads on proactive initiatives within fragrance development to drive innovation and market competitiveness.

9) International Projects: Lead international key projects and proactively drive initiatives to expand the fragrance market presence beyond ASEAN countries.

Required Skills:

Min Diploma in Chemistry/Business Management/Marketing skills relative to fragrance industry.

At least 3 years of experience within fragrance, cosmetic, FMCG, personal care or related industries.

Deep understanding of fragrance preferences for Asian Markets and worldwide trends

Possess excellent management and administrative abilities with proficient skills in executing fragrance

evaluation processes.

Have a creative personality to contribute to the development of unique fragrances using personal expertise and knowledge in this field.

Possess excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively support the Business Development team.

Be a self-starter and independent individual contributor with an ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
