Job summary

LUM CHANG BUILDING CONTRACTORS PTE LTD. seeks a 6-month TEMP IT Support role in Singapore to handle workstation provisioning and onboarding. You will install Windows 11 images, configure user accounts, and deploy standard software, VPNs, and security tools.

Responsibilities include asset tracking, device offboarding, and maintaining SOPs and end-user guides. On-site role with focus on setup accuracy and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying Windows 11 and configuring corporate devices.
• Familiarity with IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes.
• Hands-on with Active Directory / Entra ID provisioning and device onboarding.

Job description

Main Tasks & Scope of Work

1. Computer Setup & Workstation Deployment

• Hardware Assembly & Preparation: Unbox, physically inspect, label, and assemble laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals.
• Operating System Configuration: Install and configure clean images of Windows 11 operating systems following company security guidelines.
• Software Provisioning: Install standard corporate software suites, including productivity tools (Microsoft Office, VPN clients, antivirus solutions), and role-specific applications.
• User Onboarding Preparation: Create user profiles, join devices to the local domain or Active Directory / Entra ID (Azure AD), configure email accounts, and test access permissions prior to employee start dates.
• Peripheral & Workspace Setup: Organize cable management, test network connectivity (LAN/Wi‑Fi), and set up physical IT equipment at employee desks or remote dispatch packages.

2. IT Administration & Asset Management

• Asset Tracking & Inventory Control: Tag new hardware with asset tags and log device details (serial numbers, MAC addresses, warranty information, assigned users) into the IT Asset Management (ITAM) database.
• Hardware Offboarding & Reclamation: Collect, clean, wipe (secure disk erasure), and re‑image returned hardware from offboarding staff.
• Stock & Storage Organization: Maintain an organized IT storage area, conduct routine stock audits of adapters, cables, keyboards, and mice, and report low inventory levels.

3. Documentation & Process Improvement

• User Guide Creation: Help build and maintain simple "How-To" technical guides and checklists for end users (e.g., Wi‑Fi connection guides, printer setup, VPN guides).
• Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Maintenance: Keep computer provisioning checklists and setup documentation up to date as new software or security policies are introduced.
