Job summary

Aiper, the No. 1 smart robotic pool cleaner brand, seeks a Junior Embedded Engineer in Singapore to join the Smart Yard ecosystem.

You will contribute to embedded Linux BSP development, driver debugging and system bring-up for new hardware platforms, working with Yocto/Buildroot, U-Boot and kernel components. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in CS/EE or related field, with strong C skills, basic Linux know-how, and a genuine interest in robotics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in CS, Electronic Information, Communication, Automation or related fields (fresh graduates).
• Solid C programming fundamentals with strong coding and debugging skills.
• Familiar with basic Linux operations, Shell environments and common development tools.
• Understanding embedded Linux boot process; basic knowledge of U-Boot, Linux Kernel and device tree.
• Familiar with common hardware interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI and GPIO; read datasheets and English technical docs.
• Strong learning ability, problem-analysis skills and hands-on capability, with genuine interest in embedded Linux or robotics.
• Preferred: project experience with embedded Linux, microcontrollers, development boards or robots; Linux drivers, device tree, U-Boot, Yocto or Buildroot; oscilloscope/logic analyzer; open-source projects or GitHub portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded Linux BSP and porting including U-Boot, Linux Kernel, device tree and root filesystem.
• Debug and verify board-level peripherals (UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, USB, SDIO, Ethernet).
• Assist with system bring-up, peripheral integration and hardware/software issue triage on new hardware.
• Configure, compile and integrate embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto and Buildroot.
• Collaborate with hardware, application and testing teams on robot product development and mass-production support.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for embedded Linux BSP development and porting, including U-Boot, Linux Kernel, device tree and root file system.
• Perform driver debugging and functional verification of board-level peripherals, including UART, I²C, SPI, GPIO, USB, SDIO and Ethernet.
• Assist with system bring-up, peripheral integration and hardware/software issue triage on new hardware platforms.
• Participate in software configuration, compilation and integration of embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto and Buildroot.
• Collaborate with hardware, application and testing teams on robot product development, testing and mass-production support.
