Job summary

Hudson River Trading (HRT) seeks a Junior Electronic Trading Support Engineer to join the Global Trade Operations (TradeOps) team in Singapore. You will support live APAC trading, coordinate with exchanges and internal desks, and act as a first line of defense for the production trading platform.

The role emphasizes strong systems knowledge, scripting ability, and excellent communication in a demanding, fast-moving market environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, Engineering, Physics, Math, etc.)
• Working knowledge of UNIX systems
• Experience with a scripting language (Python, Perl, Bash)
• Excellent communication skills, and enjoys interfacing with clients, both internal and external
• Incredibly organized, with a high attention to detail
• Excited to work independently in a very fast-paced, high pressure environment
• Possess an understanding of Market Data/Order Entry systems and/or an interest in how modern electronic markets work
• Industry experience and/or Series 7 or 57 certification is preferred if applicable, but not required
• Exceptional recent/fresh graduates with relevant knowledge can be considered

Responsibilities

• Support live trading during APAC market hours
• You will be required to work Sunday - Thursday
• Respond to external market alerts and outages
• Be the first line of defense when the inevitable happens to our trading system
• Interface with exchanges & other external parties to support trading
• Handle order flow from HRT's trading desks
