Job summary

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support the development and optimization of data solutions across cloud-based platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with technical and business teams to build reliable data pipelines, enable analytics, and support data-driven decision-making.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes across cloud data platforms.
• Develop and optimize data models, data transformations, and workflows using Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to ensure data is structured for effective downstream consumption.
• Support stakeholders in understanding data requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of data pipelines and storage solutions.
• Contribute to data quality, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline
• At least 4 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Exposure to business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and process documentation.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and/or Power BI.
• Experience working within cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Prior experience within a consulting or professional services environment.
