Job summary

EY is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Technology Consulting to design, build, and modernize cloud platforms accelerating digital transformation. You will work on cloud-native solutions, migrations, platform engineering, DevOps transformations, and enterprise-scale cloud adoption across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, security specialists, project teams, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.
• 3-6 years in cloud engineering or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on with Azure, AWS, or GCP and IaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.
• Support cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Implement cloud-native architectures leveraging containers, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, and microservices.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Implement cloud security controls, identity management, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions.
• Assist clients in troubleshooting, performance optimization, monitoring, and operational support.
• Participate in solution design workshops, architecture reviews, and technical assessments.
• Produce technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
• Support presales activities, proposals, and proof-of-concept initiatives where required.

The opportunity

As a Cloud Engineer within Technology Consulting, you will help clients design, build, and modernize cloud platforms that accelerate digital transformation and business growth.

Working as part of multidisciplinary teams, you will deliver cloud-native solutions, migration programs, platform engineering initiatives, DevOps transformations, and enterprise-scale cloud adoption across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments.

You will work closely with architects, developers, security specialists, project teams, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.
• Support cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and enterprise cloud adoption.
• Experience designing and deploying workloads on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, security, compute, storage, and identity services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring and observability platforms.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and governance frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

To Qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or solution implementation.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience working with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, CI/CD tools
• Experience supporting enterprise application deployments and cloud infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
• Client‑facing or consulting experience is preferred.
