Job summary

Beyondsoft is seeking a Junior Data Engineer (AWS Architect) in Singapore to support the design of the AWS Data Lake and Lakehouse across Landing, Transformed, and Curated zones.

You will build ingestion and transformation pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and Redshift, maintain the Glue Data Catalogue, and help ensure data security and governance in a government data environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in data engineering, data architecture, or cloud infrastructure.
• Hands on experience with core AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Kinesis, Step Functions, Lake Formation).
• Strong SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or Scala).
• Experience with Data Lake or Lakehouse architectures.
• AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate or Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
• Experience with Tableau, MLOps/SageMaker, Salesforce integration via AppFlow, or CDC patterns.
• Prior experience in a government or public sector data environment.

The Junior Data Engineer (AWS Architect) will be responsible for the following:

Architecture & Design:

• Support the design of the AWS Data Lake and Lakehouse solution across Landing, Transformed, and Curated zones
• Help apply data architecture standards and build reusable ingestion pipelines

Development & Deployment:

• Build data ingestion and transformation pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and Redshift
• Help maintain the AWS Glue Data Catalogue, including schema and metadata tracking

Security & Governance:

• Help configure data security using AWS Lake Formation, IAM, and Secrets Manager
• Support compliance with data classification, retention, and audit requirements

Maintenance & Operations:

• Monitor platform health and pipeline reliability, and troubleshoot data issues
