Job summary

Capgemini Singapore Pte. Ltd. is hiring a software engineer to support the development, testing, and maintenance of a customised C++ middleware solution and its interfaces. The role offers hands-on implementation within a supervised engineering environment.

You will work on unit tests, integration, and documentation, using Git, Linux, and modern CI/CD practices. Fresh graduates with project experience are welcome, up to 3 years of software development exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• Up to 3 years of software development experience; strong fresh graduates may be considered.
• Proficient in C++ programming with OO design and memory management.
• Familiar with Linux-based development and Git.
• Experience with middleware, networking, or systems integration is a plus.
• Ability to read technical specs and document work clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C++ middleware modules.
• Implement middleware functions, protocol handlers, and data conversion logic.
• Support integration between middleware and customer/internal systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented C++ code following project standards.
• Develop unit tests and support integration, system, and acceptance testing.
• Assist with customer demonstrations, factory acceptance testing, site integration, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in code reviews and use Git for source control.
• Support build, deployment, and Linux-based development environments.
