GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking a driven Junior Bunker Trader to join our client’s world-wide marine fuel trading team. The role features an action-packed training programme with mentorship, enabling you to build your own customer base, develop trading instincts, and learn operations execution and risk management.

You will actively research and develop new customers in the marine fuels market, quote, negotiate and close bunker deals while protecting margins, and coordinate deliveries

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field (preferred)
• Strong prospecting and deal-closing abilities.
• Resilient, competitive, and goal oriented.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Quick learner with commercial instincts.
• Able to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
• Professional, with integrity and accountability.
• Experience in shipping/energy/commodities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build personal customer base and develop trading instincts.
• Research, prospect, and develop new marine fuels customers.
• Quote, negotiate, and close bunker deals with margins.
• Coordinate bunker deliveries with operations and port dynamics.
• Monitor oil markets, shipping, and competition to identify opportunities.
• Assess operational risks, credit exposure, and delivery risk.
• Incorporate low-carbon fuels into proposals to support sustainability.
• Maintain compliance with trading regulations and internal policies.
• Build a sales pipeline and balance risk vs reward.
