PowerX is a 12-months traineeship programme designed to enable and create Deep Tech career opportunities for working professionals, combing bespoke training and industry experience.

Project Description

We are looking for a versatile engineer and relentless self-learner who can help us build intelligence that lives in the cloud, in our apps, and directly on our hardware devices.

In this role, you will be the bridge between the physical world and digital insights. While you will have a high degree of ownership, you won't be doing it alone. You will be working directly under the mentorship of seasoned tech architect with deep experience from global leaders like Apple, HTC, and Huawei.

This is a rare opportunity to sharpen your skills in Cloud and AI while being guided by some of the best hardware and systems minds in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Intelligence Hub: Evolve the cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) that serves as the "brain" for our global fleet, processing coordinates and environmental metrics.
• Smarter Firmware (Edge AI): Collaborate with our architects to improve device firmware (C/C++). You will implement local logic that allows devices to "decide" when a critical symptom is detected.
• Predictive Analytics: Use AI/ML to find the "rhythm" in data—distinguishing between normal daily patterns and the early signs of a community threat.
• Full-Loop Integration: Work across the stack to ensure cloud insights are delivered seamlessly to our Mobile Apps for proactive protection.

Qualifications:

We value problem-solving grit and the ability to learn. We are looking for a strong foundation that we can help you expand.

Core Foundation (Strongly Preferred)

• Cloud & Backend: Experience building and scaling services in AWS or GCP (Node.js, Python, or Go).
• AI/ML Curiosity: A basic understanding of how to train and deploy models, with a desire to apply this to real-world sensor data.
• Logic-First Programming: Strong coding fundamentals and problem solving skills.

Great to Have (But we will mentor you here!)

• Exposure to C/C++ or microcontrollers.
• Interest in Signal Processing (turning raw sensor noise into clean data).
• Understanding of how Cloud APIs interact with embedded devices.
