Job summary

ATOP Academy PTE. LTD. is seeking a diligent JC History teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE JC syllabus. You will assess students’ learning needs and customize lesson plans to strengthen content knowledge and examination skills.

You will guide students in analyzing sources, evaluating reliability, and constructing balanced, evidence-based arguments. The role also involves preparing students for national examinations and communicating progress to parents.

Qualifications

Qualified in Education, History, Political Science, International Relations, or related field.
Strong command of oral and written English.
Solid knowledge of Singapore MOE JC History syllabus and assessment requirements.
Ability to explain complex historical developments clearly and objectively.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver JC History lessons aligned with the MOE JC syllabus.
Assess students and tailor lessons to strengthen content knowledge and exam skills.
Teach key historical events, developments, personalities, and turning points.
Develop students' ability to interpret sources, evaluate reliability, and compare perspectives.
Guide students in answering source-based and essay questions with evidence and clear arguments.
