Job summary

Softvil Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer – Java in Singapore to translate storyboards into robust, scalable Java applications. You will build and maintain high‑quality code, ensure performance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver features.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in Java/JEE, proficiency with Spring, REST/JAX‑RS, JAX‑WS, Maven, JUnit, and SQL. Familiarity with Tomcat/JBoss, Git, and testing tools like JMeter is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in Java/JEE development.
• Proficiency in Java 17+ and JEE with strong ecosystem knowledge.
• Solid understanding of Object‑Oriented Analysis & Design (OOA/OOD).
• Experience with Spring Framework 4+ and Dependency Injection.
• Hands‑on with REST (JAX‑RS using Jersey) and SOAP (JAX‑WS using Apache CXF/Axis).
• Strong skills in Maven, JUnit, JDBC concepts.
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java and caching frameworks (Ehcache).
• Ability to write reusable Java libraries and clean, high-performance code.
• Basic understanding of JVM internals.
• Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and schema design.
• Proficiency with Git and version control tools.
• Familiarity with application servers (Tomcat, JBoss) and testing tools (JMeter).
• Exposure to HTML5, JavaScript, and JS libraries is a plus.
