Job summary

Guardsquare is expanding in Asia-Pacific and seeks Java Software Engineers to work on DexGuard and other Java-based products. You will develop and optimize Java bytecode, compiler-related features, and security-focused tooling.

As one of the first engineers in Singapore, you will help establish our local R&D presence, collaborate with customers and internal teams, and divide your time between product development and R&D customer support. You will report to the local MD and an R&D Team Lead.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS or related field and 2–3 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Linux and low-level programming/debugging.
• Interest in security, reverse engineering, and collaboration with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve Java-based products (DexGuard, ProGuard) and future Java tech.
• Research and implement code-hardening and optimization techniques.
• Work with Java bytecode, compilers, build pipelines, and complex workflows.
• Maintain and improve large, mature codebases and debug complex issues.
• Help customers integrate and use Guardsquare products and collaborate with R&D teams.
