Job summary

ALTROCKS TECH PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Engineer to support the implementation and maintenance of frontend, backend, and supporting system components.

You will participate in feature work, testing, and code reviews, and you will collaborate with development teams to understand system behavior and dependencies. You will investigate issues by tracing requests across multiple microservices, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to documentation, architecture diagrams, and operation

Qualifications

• Experience developing enterprise applications.
• Good programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript, or Node.js.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience working with REST APIs and service integrations.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to understand complex application architectures and system interactions.
• Experience analyzing logs and tracing end-to-end system flows.
• Good technical writing and documentation skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Solace or Kafka.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of frontend, backend, and supporting system components when required.
• Participate in feature implementation, enhancements, defect fixes, testing activities, and code reviews where applicable.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand system behavior, identify technical dependencies, and support solution implementation.
• Investigate application issues by tracing requests across multiple microservices and system components.
• Perform root cause analysis for production and development issues.
• Analyze logs, APIs, messaging flows, and database interactions to identify problems.
• Provide technical recommendations for issue resolution and system improvements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, system flows, APIs, integration documents, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
• Review business requirements and proactively identify ambiguities, missing information, dependencies, and technical risks.
• Work closely with stakeholders to clarify functional and technical requirements.
• Participate in solution discussions and impact assessments.
