Job summary

Careers is seeking an experienced Java/React technical lead to design and develop Java microservices and REST APIs, while guiding React front-end work and best practices. You will mentor developers, contribute to sprint planning, and ensure secure, scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, React, and microservices, with hands-on experience across CI/CD, containers and cloud platforms. Banking or financial services exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant Java development experience, with some time leading or mentoring a team.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot, including Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate and REST API design.
• Hands-on React (hooks, Redux or similar, API integration) on real projects.
• Microservices experience, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle or MySQL.
• Git, CI/CD (Jenkins or similar), and Agile or Scrum delivery.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS or Azure.
• Kafka or other messaging tools.
• TypeScript, and testing with JUnit, Jest or React Testing Library.
• Domain exposure to banking, financial services or insurance.
