NTT SINGAPORE PTE. LTD.

is seeking a software engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java 8, microservices and Docker to join our team in Singapore. You will work with JMS brokers (ActiveMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ), NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) and SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB); Spring ecosystem; AngularJS/ReactJS; Linux; Agile/Scrum; CI/CD; AWS, Kubernetes/OpenShift; ElasticSearch/ELK; and SQL tuning and performance analysis.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 8 with hands-on experience in building microservices.
• Experience with JMS brokers such as ActiveMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Strong NoSQL experience with MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Broad SQL expertise across Oracle, MySQL and MariaDB.
• Extensive Spring ecosystem knowledge (Spring, Boot, Batch, Cloud).
• Frontend experience with AngularJS or ReactJS, JavaScript, and jQuery; ORM like Hibernate/JPA.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Comfort with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
• Knowledge of software best practices including TDD and CI.
• Experience building, deploying and maintaining microservices on AWS, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience using Docker to create reproducible build and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with ElasticSearch as a search index and ELK for logs.
• Ability to read explain plans, tune SQL queries, profile apps, and analyze heap/thread dumps.
• Able to automate repetitive tasks.

Job description

Must-have:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java 8, Microservice & Docker
• Good knowledge in JMS (Active MQ, Kafka, Rabbit MQ), Apache Camel
• Strong NoSQL Database knowledge like MongoDB, Cassandra
• Strong knowledge in SQL (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB)
• Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud
• AngularJS or ReactJS, JavaScript, jQuery ORM like Hibernate or JPA
• Familiar with Linux operation system
• Experience working with, or an interest in Agile Methodologies, such Scrum
• Knowledge of software best practices, like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI)
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining microservices on AWS, Kubernetes or Openshift
• Experience using Docker to create reproducible build and deployment pipelines
• Experience with Elastic Search as search indexand ELK for log aggregation and analysis
• You know how to read explain plans and tune SQL Queries, profile applications, analyze heap and thread dumps
