Job summary

ENCORA TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Java developer to design and build scalable applications using Java, OOP concepts, and Spring Boot.

You will develop microservices, REST APIs, and robust multithreading solutions. You will optimize performance, handle large files, write unit tests, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver banking solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Java development experience with Java and OOP principles.
• Experience with Spring Boot, microservices and REST APIs.
• Proficient in multithreading and large file processing.
• Solid SQL knowledge and DB design.
• Familiarity with JUnit/Mockito for automated testing.
• Banking domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications using Java, OOP principles and Spring Boot .


• Develop and support microservices-based architectures and REST APIs.


• Implement robust multithreading/concurrency solutions and Java-based file processing.


• Perform effective impact analysis across code, database, interfaces and downstream systems before implementing changes.


• Write clean, maintainable code with strong automated unit testing and code quality practices.


• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis and deliver permanent fixes.


• Manage application build and deployment processes using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines .


• Work closely with business, QA, support and other technology teams to deliver banking solutions.

Key Skills

• Strong Core Java and OOP/OOPS concepts , including design patterns.


• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices.


• Good understanding of multithreading, concurrency and performance optimization .


• Strong knowledge of Java file handling , including reading, writing, parsing and processing large files.


• Strong RDBMS and SQL knowledge, including database design and query optimization.


• Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD, build and deployment processes .


• Strong experience with JUnit/Mockito or equivalent automated unit-testing frameworks.


• Strong debugging, problem-solving and impact-analysis skills .


• Good understanding of banking processes and trade/application workflows .


• Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

• Preferred Profile: 8+ years of Java development experience, with prior experience building or supporting banking/capital-markets applications .
