Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer in Singapore to join our enterprise-grade Java stack. You will design, build, test and deploy robust microservices and REST APIs using Spring Boot, with exposure to AWS, Databricks and AI-assisted tooling.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the SDLC, tackle performance challenges, and drive modernization initiatives while adhering to best practices and security standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Java fundamentals and hands-on experience across SDLC.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Data JPA.
• Proven ability to design and develop scalable microservices and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications using Java 17/21.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot.
• Develop high‑quality, maintainable, and performant code adhering to best practices.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with strong hands‑on experience in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS and Databricks, The ideal candidate should possess strong Java fundamentals, have extensive implementation experience across the software development lifecycle, and be comfortable leveraging AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications using Java 17/21.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot.
• Develop high‑quality, maintainable, and performant code adhering to best practices.
• Participate in application modernization and cloud readiness initiatives.
• Utilize AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude etc.) to improve development efficiency and code quality.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Java Fundamentals, including Collections Framework, Multithreading & Concurrency
• Streams & Lambda Expressions, Memory Management & JVM Concepts, Exception Handling

• Hands‑on experience in Java 17 and/or Java 21 implementations.
• Strong experience with: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA

• Experience with Apache Kafka implementation and event‑driven architecture.

• Experience on Databricks workflows

Basic knowledge of:
