Job summary

Unison Group is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, build, and scale backend services, APIs, and microservices in a cloud-native AWS environment.

You will collaborate with architects, DevOps, QA, and business teams, contribute to production support and continuous improvement, and own backend components from design through deployment. This role requires 7+ years of Java backend development and strong Spring Boot 3.x expertise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Experience building microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency in AWS, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
• Experience with MuleSoft, Okta, and enterprise integrations.
• Solid SQL/Oracle database skills.
• Knowledge of cloud security and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Java-based microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Develop scalable, secure, high-performance backend solutions.
• Integrate with MuleSoft, Okta, and enterprise systems.
• Deploy and manage apps on AWS (ECS, EC2, RDS).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and AWS tools.
• Work with SQL/Oracle databases and optimize queries.
• Monitor and troubleshoot with Grafana and CloudWatch.
