Job summary

EPAM Singapore seeks a Java Developer (Spring Boot, Microservices) to build and support Java Spring Boot services powering business-critical systems. You will work in an Agile team delivering clean APIs, reliability, and on-call style support.

Responsibilities include building back-end microservices with Spring Boot, designing REST APIs, leveraging Hibernate/Spring Data JPA for persistence, writing tests, and participating in code reviews while supporting CI/CD pipelines to keep production

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java with a recent long-term support version.
• Solid knowledge of the Spring framework and Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservices, REST API design and service-to-service integration.
• Strong OO design fundamentals and maintainable architecture.
• Relational databases with SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL/MariaDB).
• ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or equivalent.
• Testing with JUnit and Mockito.
• Familiar with Git workflows, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD basics.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance back-end microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement REST APIs.
• Develop persistence and business logic using Hibernate, Spring Data JPA.
• Write clean, testable code with automated test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment.
• Troubleshoot production issues using logs and metrics.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies.
