Job summary

IDC Technologies (Singapore) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Java Developer to design, build and optimize backend systems. You will work with Java, Bash and automation tasks to streamline deployments and operations, collaborating across teams to implement robust technical solutions.

The role emphasizes strong Core Java fundamentals, OOP, multithreading, and experience with Bash scripting. Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices is preferred and Linux basics are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP, collections, multithreading and exception handling.
• Hands-on Bash scripting experience on Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices is preferred but not mandatory.
• Good understanding of Linux file systems, permissions and process handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend applications using Java.
• Write and maintain Bash scripts for automation, deployment and operations tasks.
• Debug and troubleshoot application issues in development and production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for clean, maintainable code.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and assist in build automation when required.
