Job summary

ACG Management Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Portfolio Manager for Japan equities, focusing on fundamental long/short net neutral strategies.

You will build and manage a Japan-focused book, performing deep bottom-up research on small and mid-cap names and constructing robust financial models to forecast earnings. You will engage with Japanese management teams and sell-side analysts in native Japanese, using cultural insight to gain differentiated insights and to communicate findings clearly.

Qualifications

• Native-level Japanese fluency is essential for research and interaction with management teams in Japan.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, comparables, scenario analysis) required.
• Experience in equity research, preferably in Japan-focused coverage, on buy-side or sell-side.

Responsibilities

• Independently construct and manage a long/short net neutral Japan equities portfolio.
• Conduct deep-dive bottom-up research on small and mid-cap Japanese companies.
• Build and maintain financial models to forecast earnings and valuations.
• Generate and manage long and short investment ideas based on proprietary research.
• Monitor macro and company-specific developments affecting Japanese equities.
