Job summary

apar technologies pte. ltd. in Singapore seeks a senior Java/J2EE developer to design, build and maintain cloud-native applications. You will review requirements, provide technical feedback and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

The role requires expert knowledge of Spring, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling, and distributed systems. You will guide junior team members, perform design reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Java/J2EE and cloud-native development.
• At least 3–4 years of experience with cloud-native development, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with streaming technologies or Hadoop is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Java/J2EE.

• Experience with Spark Streaming or similar tools.
• Knowledge of messaging platforms such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Helm, Argo CD, Jenkins, GitLab Runner, Nexus, Harbor, Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.
• Experience with TDD/BDD and testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium or SoapUI.
• Knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of HBase and MongoDB is an advantage.
• Knowledge of application design, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Experience with UML and impact assessment.
• Experience with Shell scripting and tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with performance tuning and fault-tolerant systems.
