Job summary

Migrantlink Pte. Ltd. invites qualified educators to join as a Computer Education and Makerspace Instructor for lower secondary students in Singapore. You will deliver ICT lessons, code using Python and Swift, and manage multimedia projects alongside school website updates.

Responsibilities include training students, supporting competitions, and integrating AI tools to boost digital literacy, while maintaining equipment and producing teaching resources.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience conducting computer education programs and ICT training/workshops in a school environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applied to teaching and administrative tasks.
• Familiarity with Python and Swift/Swift Playgrounds for instructional purposes.
• Experience using robotics and programmable devices (M5GO, LEGO, Micro:Bit) to teach computational thinking.

• Develop, review, and teach lower secondary computer education programs covering Microsoft Office with certification preparation
• Teach coding using Python and Swift to enhance students' programming skills
• Deliver computational thinking and robotics lessons using Micro:Bit, M5GO, and LEGO with Python or block-based programming
• Integrate AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, and NotebookLM into learning activities to enhance digital literacy
• Manage and update the school website using Isomer or similar content management systems
• Develop and teach makerspace activities including 3D printing and Cricut-based craft and design projects
• Train Infocomm Club students in video production, graphic poster creation, and animation for multimedia competitions
• Provide photography and videography services for school events and programs
• Design marketing collaterals and create digital teaching resources to support school initiatives
• Maintain photography and multimedia equipment to ensure operational readiness
• Provide general technical support for school ICT needs
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the school to support educational and operational goals

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote) applied to teaching and administrative tasks
• Familiarity with coding languages Python and Swift/Swift Playgrounds for instructional purposes
• Experience using robotics and programmable devices (M5GO, LEGO, Micro:Bit) to teach computational thinking
• Knowledge of school learning platforms such as Teams and Class Notebook
• Competence in AI tools including Copilot, ChatGPT, and NotebookLM to support innovative teaching methods
• Expertise in multimedia editing and creation tools such as Canva, CapCut, iMovie, GarageBand, Procreate, and Adobe applications
• Experience managing website content using Isomer or similar CMS platforms
• Ability to facilitate makerspace activities involving Cricut craft/design and 3D printing
• Strong classroom pedagogy, student management, and engagement skills demonstrated through effective lesson delivery
• Initiative and independence in managing tasks combined with a collaborative team approach

Other Information

Working Hours & Schedule

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch break)
• Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch break)
• No service required on weekends and gazetted public holidays
