Job summary

Optimum Solutions (Singapore) PTE LTD is seeking a senior application development lead to partner with business and technical stakeholders to drive design, development, and maintenance of critical systems.

You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, and deliver user-focused solutions on time while overseeing testing, production issues, and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in full lifecycle application development and maintenance.
• Proven track record managing cross-functional product and technical teams.
• Hands-on Java design, development, and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and SQL is a plus.
• Experience leading software development teams and delivery oversight.
• Degree or diploma in CS, Product Management, or related field.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
• PM/ Scrum/ Biz Analysis certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with solution, technical, and information architects to ensure applications are robust and aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Design and deliver high-quality, functional solutions with a strong focus on user experience.
• Plan, track, and manage application development, enhancements, and maintenance activities to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Coordinate and support system, user acceptance, and security testing prior to release.
• Provide ongoing application support, working with product and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects and production issues.
• Monitor application performance and service reliability, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to resolve production issues.
• Lead and manage development teams, including work planning, task allocation, progress tracking, technical guidance, and delivery oversight.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in application development, enhancement, maintenance, and project delivery across the full system development lifecycle.
• Proven experience managing application development and maintenance projects with cross-functional product and technical teams.
• Hands-on experience in Java application design, development, enhancement, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and SQL is a plus.
• Experience leading and managing software development teams, including work planning, task allocation, technical guidance, and delivery oversight.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Product Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
• Certifications in Project Management, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Business Analysis are a plus.
