Job summary

Karooooo is seeking an on-site technical support professional in Singapore to assist clients with system operation and configuration. You will learn and support our products, diagnose and resolve issues, and coordinate with engineering and support teams to ensure smooth deployments.

You will also gather requirements, provide user guidance, and document resolutions while traveling to client sites as needed. A Diploma or Degree in CS/IT/EE or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Good understanding of software, hardware, networking and troubleshooting concepts.
• Willingness to travel or work at client sites when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Overseeing project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation for the completion of works within scope of the technical project.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensuring all project activities adhere strictly to relevant government regulatory requirements.
• Risk Management: Identifying potential risks to project execution and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Reporting and Documentation: Preparing reports and maintaining records for audit and internal review purposes.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the liaison between project teams, compliance departments, and other key stakeholders.

• Provide on-site technical support to assigned clients and ensure smooth operation of our systems and solutions.

• Learn, understand and become proficient in the company’s products, systems, software and technical processes.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system functionality, connectivity, hardware and software.

• Perform system configuration, testing, installation, maintenance and basic troubleshooting where required.

• Work closely with internal technical, engineering, product and support teams to investigate and resolve complex issues.

• Monitor system performance and identify potential technical issues before they impact client operations.

• Support system implementation, testing, deployment and project-related activities at the client’s site.

• Gather and analyse client requirements, technical issues and feedback, and communicate them clearly to relevant internal teams.

• Provide technical guidance and explanations to clients and end users when required.

• Maintain proper documentation of system configurations, technical issues, troubleshooting activities and solutions.

• Conduct basic user training and demonstrations on system functions where required.

• Participate in project meetings, site inspections, testing and other activities related to client projects.

• Ensure all assigned technical tasks are completed within the required timeline and in accordance with company standards.

• Perform other technical and project-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.

• Candidates with an Electrical & Electronic Engineering background will have an added advantage.

• Strong interest in learning and supporting technical systems, software and technology solutions.

• Good understanding of basic software, hardware, networking and troubleshooting concepts.

• Ability to diagnose problems systematically and identify practical solutions.

• Comfortable working on-site at client locations and interacting directly with customers.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical users.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams.

• Fast learner with the ability to understand and adapt to new systems and technologies.

• Good attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility.

• Experience in technical support, application support, system implementation, project engineering or customer-facing technical roles will be an advantage.

• Experience with IoT, GPS/telematics, connected devices, vehicle technology or similar technology solutions will be an added advantage.
