Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is seeking an IT Outsourcing Planning & Management Specialist to lead offshore IT projects and drive optimization across the vendor ecosystem. The role focuses on initiating programs, evaluating offshoring opportunities, and ensuring projects meet milestones on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT and proven IT project management experience, preferably with offshoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT project manager with offshoring focus.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques; PMP is a plus.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, initiate, and drive IT offshoring projects, ensuring milestone delivery and alignment with goals.
• Assess offshoring opportunities, develop strategy and plans, and implement cost-saving initiatives while mitigating risks.
• Manage vendor selection: issue RFPs, evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts, maintain offshore vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enable effective change management and communicate project status clearly.

• Plan, initiate, and drive IT offshoring projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, while monitoring progress, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring timely milestone delivery.
• Conduct assessments to identify offshoring opportunities, develop strategies and project plans, and implement initiatives to optimize offshoring practices, enhance productivity, and drive cost savings while mitigating project risks.
• Manage the vendor selection process by issuing RFPs, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with offshore vendors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective change management, and develop communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed about project status and updates.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT project manager, with a focus on managing offshoring projects.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive project plans, manage budgets, and deliver projects on time and within scope, with a PMP certification being a plus and a strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors, combined with strong knowledge in vendor management, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management, and a proven track record of successfully implementing offshoring initiatives to drive efficiency and cost savings.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, systems, and software development lifecycle processes.
