Job summary

CIMB Singapore is seeking an IT Operations/ Data Centre specialist to monitor batch schedules via Control M, run scheduled and adhoc batch jobs, and manage backup media for CIMB SG Data Centre.

The role includes CCTV/security monitoring, helpdesk support after hours, and release management using Aldon LMi/LME. Diploma in IT or related certs and 2–3 years of relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT or relevant certification.
• 2-3 years working experience in Data Centre operation or application jobs processing.
• IT Operations and Data Centre processes.
• IT system alert monitoring & escalation, batch job handling, tape management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor automated task/job scheduler via Control M.
• Run manual batch jobs according to batch run schedule, or adhoc requested by business/operations users.
• Backup media handling and offsite storage management.
• Maintain catalog of backup media in CIMB SG Data Centre.
• Monitor Data Centre CCTV and security, escalate breaches.
• Provide after-hours and non-working day helpdesk support.
• Carry out release management using Aldon LMi/LME.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Monitoring of automated task/job scheduler via Control M.


• Run manual batch jobs according to batch run schedule prepared by Applications Team / Operations Manager, or adhoc requested by business and operations users based on documented process.


• Backup media handling which include mounting and retrieving from media library, sending and receiving of backup media to and from offsite storage.


• Maintain catalog of backup media in CIMB SG Data Centre.


• Monitoring of Data Centre CCTV and escape any unauthorized entry or suspicious activity to IT Operation Manager.


• Monitoring of servers, network and application availability through monitoring tools, Ops Manager and Apps Manager and escape to relevant support for any system alert detected.


• Monitor for any email alert and escape to relevant support support


• Ensure security and safety issues of a Data Centre and escape to IT Operation Manager for any breach of security.


• Provide after office hours and non-working day helpdesk support


• Provide split password management services


• Manage electronic Keypress system and CCTV system


• Carry out the release management task using Aldon LMi/LME
