Job summary

JAC RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a candidate to design, support, and continuously enhance manufacturing automation applications and related system components in a global semiconductor manufacturing context.

The role requires strong Oracle SQL skills and experience with MES, SECS/GEM, and industrial system integration. You will provide Level 1–2 operations support and collaborate with IT, operations, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related; or Diploma with relevant experience.
• Experience supporting or developing manufacturing automation, equipment integration or production systems.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL and database querying.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to MES, shop floor automation and industrial system integration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, support and enhance manufacturing automation applications and related components.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, support, and continuously enhance manufacturing automation applications and related system components.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 operational support to ensure stable and reliable production system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to improve system responsiveness, reliability, and overall availability.
• Gather business and technical requirements to develop, implement, and upgrade automation solutions, including equipment integration and control systems.
• Manage functional documentation, change requests, testing activities, and enhancement initiatives.
• Plan and deliver user training, knowledge transfer, and application support documentation.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and support teams to drive productivity improvements, process optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; alternatively, a Diploma with relevant industry experience.
• Experience supporting or developing manufacturing automation, equipment integration, or production systems.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL and database querying.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Exposure to manufacturing execution systems (MES), shop floor automation, and industrial system integration is advantageous.
• Familiarity with equipment communication standards and middleware technologies, such as SECS/GEM and TIBCO/Rendezvous (TIB/RV), is preferred.
• Experience with equipment automation platforms, including ZNT PAC, is a plus.
• Knowledge of fab automation project lifecycles and computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) applications such as SPC, RMS, and MES is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in a high-tech manufacturing or semiconductor environment would be advantageous.
