Job summary

Singapore Public Service in the School of Informatics & IT invites applications for a Lecturer (Information Technology). The role delivers face-to-face and online teaching to full-time and part-time students, with evening or weekend sessions as required.

You will supervise student projects, foster experiential learning with AI tools and automation, assess work, and mentor learners while contributing to curriculum development and industry-aligned research.

Qualifications

• Qualification in CS/IT/SE/AI or related computing discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in software engineering, AI-enabled applications or cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages, frameworks and development tools.
• Professional certifications in Agile, DevOps, AIOps, Cloud Computing or Software Engineering are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures face-to-face and online to both full-time and part-time students; schedule day, evening or weekend classes as needed.
• Supervise and develop student capabilities in project work, including industry-sponsored projects, hackathons and innovation challenges.
• Design and facilitate active, experiential, project-based learning leveraging AI tools, intelligent agents and automation technologies.
• Assess and evaluate student assignments and maintain records of performance and attendance.
• Provide guidance, mentoring and feedback to support students' academic and professional development.
