Job summary

GovTech invites applications for a Lecturer (Information Technology) in the School of Informatics & IT. The role involves delivering face-to-face and online lessons to both full-time and part-time students, and supervising project-based work across industry-sponsored and interdisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities include mentoring students, designing active learning experiences using AI tools and automation, and maintaining accurate records of performance and attendance.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or AI or related computing discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in software engineering, AI-enabled applications, cloud technologies, data engineering or related fields.
• Proficient in software development using modern languages, frameworks and development tools.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring and developing youth and adult learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications in Agile, DevOps, AIOps, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face and online lessons to full-time and part-time students.
• Supervise and develop student capabilities in project work, including experiential learning and industry projects.
• Design active, experiential and project-based learning leveraging AI tools, intelligent agents and automation technologies.
• Assess and evaluate student assignments and maintain accurate records of performance and attendance.
• Provide constructive feedback and mentoring to support students' academic and professional development.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment design, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to applied research, outreach and strategic projects undertaken by the school.
• Adhere to Polytechnic policies, procedures and quality assurance requirements.
