Job summary

ACCTON Technology Singapore is seeking an In-Process Quality Control Engineer to monitor and improve quality during optical transceiver manufacturing. You will drive in-line inspections and coordinate with production and engineering to prevent defects and ensure process compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial, or related discipline).
• 3+ years of experience in in-process quality control or manufacturing quality.
• Experience in semiconductor packaging or optical module manufacturing is preferred.
• Understand manufacturing processes, including: Die Bond (DB), Wire Bond (WB), Active Alignment (AA), Assembly and Final Test
• Familiarity with in-process inspection methods, SPC (Statistical Process Control), control plans and quality checkpoints
• Ability to use inspection tools: optical microscope, X-ray / CT inspection (preferred), AOI systems
• Knowledge of defect mechanisms: misalignment, bonding issues, contamination, assembly defects
• Strong attention to detail
• Quick response and decision-making
• Good communication with production teams

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee in-line inspections across critical processes: DB / WB / AA / Assembly / Test
• Monitor and control process quality, defect trends, and yield performance
• Identify and implement containment actions for quality issues
• Ensure compliance with SOP, Work Instructions, control plans and inspection standards
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Provide feedback to Manufacturing and Engineering teams for improvement
• Maintain inspection records, quality data, and reports
