Job summary

The National University of Singapore (NUS) Enterprise seeks a Specialist, IP Transactions to execute university IP licensing and technology transfer transactions. You will work with inventors, licensees, founders, and governance teams to apply approved licensing pathways and finalize agreements.

Key responsibilities include structuring licenses, negotiating terms, and ensuring consistent use of institutional frameworks while identifying opportunities requiring strategic review or escalation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IP licensing, tech transfer, or related transactions.
• Experience negotiating and structuring licensing agreements.
• Ability to apply licensing frameworks and templates.
• Strong governance and transaction-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess opportunities against licensing pathways and select the right framework.
• Structure, negotiate, and execute licenses, options, and transfer agreements.
• Develop term sheets and definitive agreements within governance rules.
• Guide inventors and partners through licensing processes from initiation to execution.
• Educate stakeholders on licensing principles and pathways.
• Escalate non-standard opportunities for strategic review.
• Support governance, documentation, and execution of transactions.
• Maintain transaction records and improve templates and workflows.
