Job summary

NUS Enterprise in Singapore seeks a Specialist, IP Transactions to manage and execute university IP licensing and related commercialisation agreements. You will work with inventors, partners, and governance teams to apply approved frameworks and ensure timely, fair deals that protect public assets.

The role requires strong negotiation, transaction management, and the ability to educate stakeholders on licensing principles while escalating non-standard opportunities for strategic review.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IP licensing, tech transfer, or related transaction work.
• Experience negotiating and structuring IP licensing or research commercialisation agreements.
• Ability to apply standard transaction frameworks and licensing pathways.
• Familiarity with IP commercialization, licensing economics, and common structures.
• Strong organisational, stakeholder management, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assess opportunities against licensing pathways and select the correct framework.
• Structure, negotiate, and execute licenses, options, assignments, and TTO agreements.
• Develop term sheets and definitive agreements within governance frameworks.
• Guide inventors, founders, licensees through licensing processes from initiation to execution.
• Educate stakeholders on licensing principles and approved pathways.
• Identify non-standard opportunities and escalate as needed.
• Support governance, approval, and documentation for transactions.
• Maintain accurate transaction records per standards.
• Contribute to refining templates, workflows, and playbooks.
