Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) seeks a hands-on IoT and PLC engineer to develop applications on modern IoT platforms and in-house systems. You will connect PLCs to pipelines, enhance Docker containers, and implement interfaces between PLCs, sockets, and databases.

You will collaborate with field engineers to specify requirements and work with cross-functional teams to test, monitor, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring reliability and data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on PLCs and IoT platform experience.
• Proven expertise in designing and operating PLCs.
• Familiarity with SCADA and standard protocols (OPC UA, S7, TCP, UDP, Ethernet, Modbus, PROFINET).
• Proficiency in IoT platforms: Siemens PLCs, PTC Kepware, PTC ThingWorx, Linux OS.
• Proficiency in scripting: PowerShell, Bash.
• Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and databases (Oracle, Tibero, SQL).
• Tech skills: Docker, CI/CD, C#, Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications on modern IoT platforms and in-house systems.
• Create interfaces connecting PLCs to pipelines and enhance IoT Docker containers.
• Collaborate with field engineers to specify PLC, socket, and DB-to-DB interfaces.
• Test, monitor, and optimize pipelines; ensure data quality and system stability.
• Work with developers, DBAs, and server engineers to deliver features.
