Barclays Singapore is seeking an experienced Product Manager for Derivatives Solutions. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle (RTB/CTB), and coordinate Front Office, Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Finance to deliver governance, pricing and operational resilience.

The role requires 10+ years in Private Banking/Wealth Management, plus knowledge of Avaloq, FinIQ or Bloomberg OMS, and a proven ability to lead cross‑functional change while complying with MAS requirements.

Job Description Purpose of the role

Product Managers are responsible for the leading the strategic focus of the product(s), defining the product vision, market strategy, and competitive analysis. They think about the product's future and how it will evolve over time. They work with various teams, including marketing, engineering, operations, and sales, to ensure everyone is aligned on the product strategy. They use data and market research to inform their decisions and prioritize product features.

Accountabilities

Define Product Strategy: Accountable for defining a product strategy that aligns with business vision, managing capabilities, balancing short-term with long-term goals, ensuring that products meet market demands and drive growth. Cross functional alignment: Leadership of cross functional relationships, working with various cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of product strategy and goals. Risk and Control: Accountable for overseeing product risk management, including identification of potential risks, development of strategies to mitigate those risks, and maintenance of alignment between the product management and control functions. Product Development Lifecycle: Own product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring efficient processes, on-time delivery, and alignment with E2E customer expectations and experience. – working with product owners to drive change objectives. Deliver Product Goals and Performance: Deliver clear objectives and key outcomes to steer the product vision and ensure alignment with company’s business goals, financial targets, and strategic vision, driving long-term business success. Data driven decisions: Monitor product performance through data-driven analysis and insights, regularly assessing progress against objectives and adjusting the strategies as needed to optimise outcomes and maximise value for both business and customer. Customer-Centric Focus: Drive a customer -first approach across the product vision, ensuring customer insights, feedback, behaviours, and pain points are at the core of the product strategy and decision-making process. Business and financial acumen: Understanding pricing models, costs structures, and ROI to make financially grounded decisions regarding product development.

Reporting to the Head of ISP Singapore and India, the Singapore ISP Derivatives Solutions role is responsible for the end-to-end operating model supporting the Private Bank's derivatives business across both Run-the-Bank (RTB) and Change-the-Bank (CTB) activities. Acting as the key liaison between Front Office, Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Finance, the role oversees the full derivatives product lifecycle, including product governance, trade execution, lifecycle management, pricing and valuation governance, risk and controls, regulatory compliance, audit engagement and operational resilience. The incumbent will maintain governance frameworks, monitor operational and control effectiveness, manage regulatory and audit remediation, and ensure compliance with product approval and trading standards. In addition, the role will drive strategic transformation initiatives across equity and FX derivatives products, partnering with Technology, Operations and Product Specialists to deliver process improvements, platform enhancements, automation, regulatory change programmes and target operating model design. The position plays a critical role in improving client experience, enhancing operational efficiency, reducing risk, and supporting the sustainable growth of the derivatives franchise through innovation, governance and front-to-back business management.

The successful candidate will: Be action oriented and organised with the ability to handle a number of tasks simultaneously and prioritise accordingly. Be self-motivated, able to work on their own initiative and remain calm under pressure. Have good interpersonal and influencing skills, as well as the ability to work as part of a team. Have the ability to absorb, analyse and provide concise and accurate summary of complex information to inform and potentially guide senior management decision-making. The role holder will have a excellent grasp of investments processes and ideally possess knowledge of systems i.e. Avaloq, FinIQ and Bloomberg OMS etc and procedures. With dual skills across technology and business. They will demonstrate a logical and structured approach to achieving desired outcomes along with good written and oral communication with ability to communicate across all levels.

The right candidate will display high integrity and trust due to the sensitive nature of information handled. The successful candidate will have worked in a business facing roles working with Front Office, Product teams and supporting Agile Delivery team. Have a successful and extensive track record in delivering Processes and Platform changes. At least 10 years in experience in a Private Bank/Wealth Management/Investment Bank environment. The role would involve both BAU (support the Products Governance) and Change the Bank responsibilities. This role is regulated by MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore).
