Barclays Private Bank in Singapore is seeking an AVP - Private Banker to deliver exceptional client service to UHNW individuals, family offices, and institutional investors across Asia and Europe. You will raise capital, grow AUM, and provide tailored private market solutions with cross-border capabilities.
The role requires strong relationship management, risk controls, and collaboration with portfolio management and advisory teams to meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.
Deliver exceptional sales and business performance by acquiring, developing and maintaining highly proactive, long term client relationships. Protect Barclays reputation through sound risk decisions by managing client group within their risk profile and appropriate regulatory framework.
Manage and grow client relationships and acquire new clients - identifying and managing solutions to meet a wide range of client needs. Establish a sound understanding of the strategy of the clients in their portfolio through regular proactive contact, responding to client / prospect queries and requests and identifying opportunities that will deliver long term commercial reward. Manage operational, reputational, financial crime and credit risk for the portfolio to avoid exposing Barclays to undue risk. Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards Service/group relationships - referrals to group colleagues.
To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions. Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes.

To be successful as a Private Banker, you should have experience with:- Strong experience covering UHNW individuals, family offices, and institutional investors across Asia and/or Europe. Proven track record in raising new capital, growing AUM, and maintaining long-term investor relationships. Solid knowledge of private markets, alternative investments, multi-asset strategies, and cross-border investment solutions. Ability to partner effectively with portfolio management, investment, and advisory teams to deliver tailored client solutions. Strong business development, investor relations, and client servicing skills, with relevant regulatory qualifications or willingness to complete required licensing.
