Job summary

BOUSTEAD SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an Investment Research Analyst to support the CFO and team with market analysis, financial modelling, and due diligence.

You will prepare investment memos, present findings to senior management, and monitor portfolio performance across asset classes in Singapore. The ideal candidate has a finance degree (or CFA), strong analytical skills, fluency in English and Mandarin, and experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or CFA qualifications.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
• Strong financial analysis, valuation, and quantitative skills.
• Experience with financial databases and tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on potential investment opportunities across asset classes.
• Evaluate and analyse financial statements, company performance, industry trends, and macro factors.
• Prepare investment reports, memos, and presentations for senior management and committees.
• Monitor and track existing investments with performance analysis and market updates.
• Assist in portfolio management activities including asset allocation and risk assessment.
• Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes and best practices.

As an Investment Research Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Chief Financial Officer and the team with investment decision-making by conducting thorough market research, financial analysis, and due diligence. You will work closely with the team to provide comprehensive investment recommendations and contribute to the achievement of the company’s financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on potential investment opportunities across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, funds and real estate.
• Evaluate and analyse financial statements, company performance, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors to identify investment prospects and risks.
• Prepare detailed investment reports, investment memos, and presentations to present findings and recommendations to senior management and investment committees.
• Monitor and track existing investments, including performance analysis and regular updates on market conditions, industry dynamics, and regulatory changes.
• Assist in portfolio management activities, including asset allocation, risk assessment, and performance evaluation.
• Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in investment research and analysis.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or CFA qualifications.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin
• Strong financial analysis skills with a deep understanding of investment valuation techniques, financial modelling, and quantitative analysis.
• Proficiency in utilizing financial databases, research tools, and software (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, Excel, PowerPoint) to gather and analyse investment data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare comprehensive investment reports and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic to uphold confidentiality and high ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, R and VBA would be an advantage.
• A good team player, self-motivated with good communication, analytical abilities and collaborative skills.
