Job summary

Unique Point Management PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned equity research analyst with a strong background in direct investments for UHNW/HNW clients.

The role emphasizes rigorous fundamental research, financial modeling, and independent investment views to maximize returns. You will analyze US/HK markets, develop valuation frameworks, and collaborate with the investment team to identify new opportunities. A CFA or related certifications are preferred, with at least five years in equity research

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from internationally recognized universities. Relevant financial certifications are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on equity securities within a defined universe to inform investment recommendations.
• Provide strategic insights on potential investment opportunities.
• Analyze financial and operational data from public sources.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models for valuation purposes.
• Perform fundamental valuation exercises and identify catalysts and timelines.
• Carry out industry and sector research, including peer analysis.
• Prepare and present investment performance reports.
• Formulate independent investment views to maximize returns.
• Collaborate with Investment team to uncover new opportunities.
• Analyze global news and its impact on the company and industry competitors.

Company Overview:

Our Single-Family Office specializes in direct investments across public equities, primarily in the US market. We focus on generating substantial returns through strategic investments in US and HK stocks, bonds, and foreign currencies. Our team is dedicated to conducting thorough market and economic research to inform our investment strategies.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this position is a highly motivated and skilled analyst with a strong background in purchasing, trading, confirmation, and settlement of investments in US stocks / HK stocks / bonds / foreign currencies and equity research, particularly in the US and HK.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on equity securities within a specific company universe, either independently or with minimal supervision from the CEO, to make informed investment recommendations.
• Provide strategic advice and insights on potential investment opportunities.
• Analyze financial and operational data from publicly available sources.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models for valuation purposes.
• Perform fundamental valuation exercises, including setting price targets and identifying potential market catalysts and timelines.
• Carry out industry and sector research, including peer analysis and the modeling of supply, demand, and profitability.
• Prepare and present reports on investment performance and activities.
• Formulate independent views on investment opportunities to maximize returns.
• Collaborate with the Investment team to uncover new investment avenues.
• Analyze global news and its impact on the company and industry competitors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from internationally recognized universities. Relevant financial certifications are highly preferred.
• CFA Charterholder status is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of investment market principles, practices, and techniques.
• Previous experience in direct investment transactions or startup environments will be beneficial.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as an equity research analyst, with proficiency in the stock exchanges of the US and HK markets.
• Proven track record of working with Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) / High Net Worth (HNW) individuals or in Family Office settings.
