Job summary

Ambition, a regional investor in the clean energy space, is hiring an Investment Manager to lead acquisitions across utility-scale solar and battery storage in Asia. It is a deal-facing role with ownership, running transactions from first look to close and staying involved as assets are integrated.

The candidate will build a regional pipeline, manage due diligence with external advisors, structure deals, and present investment memos to enable swift approvals.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, accounting or engineering with strong quantitative skills.
• CFA or MBA from a leading institution is an advantage.
• 6-10 years in infrastructure M&A, private equity or corporate development with renewable energy deals.
• Strong knowledge of SPAs, SHAs, and project loan documentation, IFRS grounding.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a regional solar/storage investment pipeline.
• Lead deals end-to-end from indicative offers to financial close.
• Coordinate due diligence with external advisors.
• Structure acquisitions (asset vs share, earn-outs, JVs).
• Develop valuation and project finance models and test returns.
• Prepare investment memos for approvals.
• Negotiate SPAs/SHAs and review key contracts.
• Coordinate post-acquisition integration with asset management.
