Schroders in Singapore is seeking an Investment Manager to lead due diligence for Asia (ex-China) private equity opportunities, including modeling, valuation, and deal assessment across primary, co-investment, and secondary transactions.

The role collaborates with regional and global teams, develops market insights, mentors juniors, and helps prepare investment memos and IC materials to support client pitches and quarterly updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in private equity investing or similar financial markets.
• Strong proficiency in financial modelling and valuation.
• Ability to perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis.

This is an Investment Manager role within the Asia private equity team. This hire is expected to play a key role across around PE investment platform across primary fund transactions, co-investments and secondary investments within the Asia (ex-China) region with a focus on India, Australia and Japan.

There will also be collaboration with the broader Asia and respective global teams. This is a career track role with the opportunity for advancement within our Asia investment practice group.

Job specification

Lead execution of investment due diligence of Asia (ex-China) private equity opportunities, encompassing research, assessment, valuation and modelling of various transaction types.

Conduct industry research and develop market and sector insights relevant to covered geographies

Drive transaction assessment including secondary and primary research, comps comparison, valuation modelling

Train junior team members in financial modelling, development of investment theses and memos

Drive preparation of investment recommendations to the Schroders Capital Investment Committee

Support development of relationships with industry participants, including fund managers and advisors

Support preparation of client pitches and requests, and development of new marketing material

Drive preparation of quarterly reports and investment updates for Schroders Capital investors

Desired profile

Minimum Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited university combined with a postgraduate training (CFA or CAIA) or postgraduate qualification (Masters)

Financial investment experience with a minimum of 6-8 years’ working in private equity investing.

An ability to manage multiple projects and time-sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy

Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, financial modelling,financial analysis, and valuation

A high level of curiosity, strong discipline, and attention to detail
