CEVA Logistics Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Inventory Officer to manage and maintain accurate warehouse inventory records, perform daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and support customer inventory audits and queries.

You will ensure stock accuracy in the WMS and generate inventory reports. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to work with warehouse teams to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Job description

YOUR ROLE

Responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring inventory accuracy within the warehouse. The Inventory Officer will conduct daily cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, support customer inventory audits, prepare inventory reports, and respond to customer inventory-related queries in a timely manner.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, standards, and procedures to maintain a safe workplace in day-to-day operations.

1. 1) Inventory Management : Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) and ensure physical inventory matches system records.
2. 2) Daily Cycle Count: Conduct daily cycle counts according to the approved inventory counting schedule and ensure all discrepancies are identified and investigated.
3. 3) Inventory Accuracy: Monitor inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies such as shortages, overages, wrong locations, damagedstock, and system transaction errors.
4. 4) Discrepancy Investigation: Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, coordinate with warehouse operations, and follow up on corrective actions.
5. 5) Customer Inventory Audit: Support and coordinate customer inventory audits, including preparation of inventory records, physical stock verification, reconciliation, and submission of audit results.
6. 6) Customer Queries: Handle customer queries related to inventory availability, stock discrepancies, inventory status, stock movements, and audit findings. Provide timely and accurate responses.
7. 7) Inventory Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports, cycle count results, variance reports, and other inventory-related reports required by management and customers.
8. 8) Stock Movement Control: Monitor inventory transactions including receiving, put-away, picking, transfer, adjustment, anddispatch to ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
9. 9) System Accuracy: Ensure all inventory transactions are updated correctly and on time in the WMS/ERP system.
10. 10) Root Cause Analysis: Analyse recurring inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve inventory accuracy.
11. 11) Warehouse Coordination: Work closely with Receiving, Picking, Packing, Shipping, and Warehouse Supervisors to resolve inventory-related issue
12. 12) Stock Status Control: Monitor and maintain proper identification of available, blocked, damaged, quarantine, and other inventory statuses where applicable
13. 13) Documentation: Maintain proper records of cycle counts, inventory adjustments, discrepancy investigations, audit results, and customer communications.
14. 14) Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes, reduce discrepancies, and improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
15. 15) Other Duties: Perform other inventory and warehouse-related duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager.
