InternSG in Singapore seeks an Internship – Research Writer to support the creative and production team in developing story ideas, researching subject matter, and preparing written materials for film, television, and other productions.

You will gather, verify, and organise information from reliable sources, read scripts to identify details, and compile clear summaries for the team, while maintaining organised research files.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on assigned topics, characters, settings, social issues, professions, organisations, and other subject matters relevant to productions.
• Gather, verify, and organise information from reliable sources to support story development and production needs.
• Assist in developing research notes, character backgrounds, story references, concept documents, and other written materials.
• Read and analyse scripts to identify relevant details, factual requirements, continuity points, and areas requiring further research.
• Compile research findings into clear and concise summaries for writers, directors, producers, and other members of the creative team.
• Maintain organised research files, references, source materials, and documentation for each assigned project.
• Assist with preparing story-related materials and production documents as required.
• Conduct additional research and writing tasks as assigned by the Producer, Writer, or relevant supervisor.
