Job summary

Public Service Division (Singapore) invites motivated undergraduates to join our HR Digital Solutions team as a PPP intern. You will develop innovative proofs-of-concept using cutting-edge AI technologies and cloud services, applying your frontend and backend skills to real HR challenges within the public service.

This full-time internship, commencing Jan/Feb 2027 for six months, offers hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript, AI frameworks and AWS, and the chance to contribute to PSD's AI

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in CS, data science or AI or related field.
• Strong frontend JavaScript skills.
• Proficient Python and AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Understanding of AI concepts and ML principles.
• Good communication and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-powered proofs-of-concept for HR challenges.
• Work on AI-enabled HR processes within PSD.

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our HR Digital Solutions team to develop innovative Proof-of-concept (POC) using cutting-edge AI technologies and cloud services.

Key outcomes of this internship are aligned with PSD's AI transformation journey and will contribute meaningfully to our modernisation efforts.

As an intern, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of AI-enabled HR processes across the public service while gaining hands‑on experience with AI technologies and cloud platforms.

Learning Areas

• AI Development - You will gain hands‑on experience with AI development using Python and modern AI frameworks, and use of AI tools to speed up development.
• Cloud Architecture - You will gain practical exposure to AWS cloud services, including AI/ML services and/or serverless computing
• Full-Stack Development - You will gain experience implementing end-to-end solutions using JavaScript and Python, integrating frontend and backend systems.
• Innovation & Problem Solving - You will gain experience designing and implementing creative AI solutions for complex HR challenges

Key Competencies Required

• Understanding of AI concepts and machine learning principles
• Good communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders.

This is a full-time internship starting in Jan/Feb 2027 and lasting for 6 months until Jun 2027/Jul 2027.
