Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Singapore seeks an engineering-focused intern to assist with bench measurement automation, lab instrument integration, and model evaluation in a semiconductor context. You will work with engineers to connect instruments, collect data, and help develop repeatable testing workflows.

The role emphasizes hands-on measurement fundamentals, automated data acquisition, and understanding AI limitations in measurement contexts.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in machine learning/deep learning fundamentals.
• Understanding of GenAI/LLMs (prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG) and related tooling; basic agentic AI concepts.
• Understanding of basic circuit components and ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
• Strong learning mindset and ownership: proactive, detail-oriented, able to communicate clearly and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Bench Measurement Automation: Automate bench measurements using software and AI tools.
• Lab Instrument Integration: Work with engineers to connect lab instruments, collect and analyze measurement data, and develop workflows that make testing faster and more repeatable.
• Model Evaluation & Validation: Evaluate and validate models and document the result, risk and limitations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive knowledge sharing through documentation and demos.

• Automated Data Acquisition: Build automated data acquisition pipelines - logging, structuring, and storing measurement data.
• AI in Measurement Context: Understand the limitations and validation requirements of AI in a measurement context (correlating automated vs. manual results).
• Failure Analysis Exposure: Understand the failure analysis / device characterization workflow.
